Low Calorie Burger Patty

Ingredients for four patties:

• 250g of lean ground beef
• 1/4 cup (30g) of diced onions
• 1/4 cup (30g) of diced mushrooms
• 2 cloves of minced garlic
• 1/4 cup (30g) of diced bell peppers
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• Olive oil spray

Instructions:

1. Start by sautéing the onions, mushrooms, garlic, and bell peppers in a skillet over medium heat until they are tender. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the sautéed vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix until well combined.
3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly spray with olive oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until they are fully cooked through.
5. Serve the burgers with your favourite toppings and sides. We suggest a whole wheat bun, lettuce, tomato or a side of veggies, a salad, or sweet potato fries.
